वो मां नहीं बन सकती ये तोफा कुदरत ने उससे छीन लिया वो समझ नहीं पा रही क्या थी गलती वक़्त ने जिसका ऐसा हिसाब लिया उसकी आंखो में आंसू शायद वो अपने अनजाने पापो कि प्रकृति से क्षमा मांग रही
वो दिल से रो रही अपनी गलतियों पे पछता रही फिर एक तोफा मिला उसे उसे एक ऐसी जरूरतमंद नाराज़ थी जिंदगी उससे वो अपनी कोख में चंद पैसों के लिए उसका बच्चा पालने को मान गई
वो भी एक गरीब मां थी जिसका बच्चा एक वक़्त के खाने को रो रहा उसके लिए वो उस मृत्यु समान प्रसव पीड़ा के लिए भी मान गई नौ माह तक संभाला उस नन्ही जान को आज वो आया तो जाने का वक़्त हो गया भले ही उसने किराया लिया पर उस बच्चे से उसे भी प्यार हो गया
नहीं देना चाहती थी वो अपनी नन्ही सी जान को पर वो वक़्त से मजबूर थी पहले बच्चे की दो वक़्त की रोटी मुश्किल से मिली उसे वो कैसे अपने दूसरे बच्चे से उसकी किस्मत छीन ले दुआए दे लगा सीने से उसने उस नन्ही जान को उसने उस निसंतान दंप्पती को सौंप दिया
अपनी कोख बेच अपनी एक औलाद बड़ी की दूसरी दे एक अधूरी स्त्री को मां बना उसे भी पूरा किया अंकित क्या करू इस प्रेम को जीवन का रंग कहीं गहरा कहीं हल्का लगा ” किराए की कोख “ लगता सुनने में कितना बुरा पर उसने एक बंजर भूमि को मां बना लहलहाना सीखा दिया
